This is just a reminder that the entire Salary Survey will be released to everyone, free and paid subscribers. It should come out in a newsletter this Sunday or next Sunday.
These posts for paid subscribers have insights, charts, etc. that will not be in the raw data.
One thing I want to mention about joining as a subscriber, you can send me requests, and I will work on things for you.
For example, let’s say you want to move to Zambia. I can do a post on Wednesday or Friday that discusses Zambia and the region of schools around it.
Next week I am doing a country report. I have not chosen the target yet but it will include information about salary, benefits, pension, shipping, housing, etc. I am hoping these country reports will add value, and the first one will be free to everyone.
OK. Here we go!
Contract Value, with Five Examples from China
I love this data. I have had this experience with contracts a few times. What you are seeing is a scenario where the salary levels are higher, but the actual ability to save and grow is not aligned. Meaning- taking a lower contract is more savings.
In the image below, the Score is the total value of the salary and benefits. For example, if you get a fully paid flight, the flight score is 1. For housing, if you get a fully paid home without any additional costs, the score is 1. Everything else is adjusted down.
