Note and some encouragement:

At this stage, I would encourage most people to have a plan if they have resigned, and have not found a job. You need a plan to get you through most of the next fall. This would include looking for part-time positions, and maternity cover, and is ready to go at a moment’s notice for those positions that open for immediate placement.

I would also recommend adjusting your relocation standards. Places you were ignoring, maybe revisit those options.

Hope is not a plan.

When I was recruiting back to the USA, I applied to many schools. I wanted to expand my representation, so I reached out to recruitment agencies. I have always had a good relationship with CSA, but, they do not represent every job.

I found another agency, I will withhold the name, but upon trying to sign-up this is what I received:

I am not going to review my experience here in the newsletter, but for technology management jobs in the USA, this was shocking to read. I moved on, what can you do?

That was 2018/19. Today this same agency emails me every week with jobs and sends jobs on postcards to my office. Keep in mind, I have not updated my account or reapplied. I think they are soliciting me from LinkedIn.

Odds have they never really reviewed anything I sent them. They saw my phone number (at that time in South Korea) and just moved on.

Online and e-applications (even email) are weak compared to meeting people and networking. Use this time to join conferences (even online) be engaging, ask questions, and avoid controversy. That has always paid off for me.
